As a CSULB student, my team and I were instructed to find a company we could assist in their market research efforts. We got in contact with The CDM Company, a full-service marketing agency, to help conduct market research for their client. Disney Shorts vinyl figurines was looking to expand its customer base outside of Mexico where it began out to the United States. We as a team positioned the Mexican toys for an American audience in a dominated marketplace.
We created a subscription-based business model to compete in the saturated market of figurines after seeing the success of lines such as Marvel Collector Corps. This would help secure key customers and guaranteed revenue where differentiation is crucial.
